What Time Ledger is
Time Ledger is a free, growing collection of everyday calculators that run entirely in your browser. It started as a weekly time card calculator and has grown into a small toolkit covering the calculations tradespeople, freelancers, and DIYers reach for most often.
The calculators
- Time card calculator — weekly hours and gross pay from AM/PM clock-ins, with rounding, days worked, print and CSV export.
- Overtime calculator — time-and-a-half, double time, and weekly regular/overtime splits.
- Work hours, hours & minutes, and time-to-decimal — measuring, adding, and converting durations.
- Military time, time zones, and epoch time — converting between clock formats, world zones, and Unix timestamps.
- Age and days / business days — calendar maths between dates.
- Stair stringer calculator — rise, run, cut angle and notch layout for building stairs.
Why we built it
Most calculators on the web are cluttered with ads, locked behind sign-ups, or quietly send your data to someone else's server. We wanted the opposite: tools that look and feel like a well-kept workshop ledger, do their math openly (every formula is published on the page), and treat whatever you type as yours alone.
Our principles
- Private by design. Every calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is transmitted anywhere.
- Free, with no strings. No accounts, no subscriptions, no feature gates.
- Honest math. The exact formulas behind every number are documented on each calculator, so you can verify the results yourself.
- Fast and accessible. Results update as you type, the layout works on any screen size, and every page respects your system's reduced-motion preference.
