The days calculator counts calendar days and business days between any two dates, and works the other way too — adding or subtracting days, or working days, from a date to find a deadline. Business days are Monday through Friday; weekends are skipped automatically. Everything runs in your browser and follows the conventions spelled out below, so you always know what was counted.
The plain gap between two dates:
Days = |Date₂ − Date₁| Mon → Fri = 4 days
The count is exclusive of the start day — add 1 if you need both endpoints included.
Same walk, but only weekdays count:
Count Mon–Fri after start, up to and including end Sat & Sun → skipped
A full week always contains exactly 5 business days.
Adding business days skips over weekends:
Fri + 1 business day = Mon Fri + 10 business days = Fri, two weeks later
Public holidays are not excluded — they vary by country, so subtract them manually.
Business days are Monday through Friday. The calculator walks from the day after the start date to the end date and counts every weekday, skipping Saturdays and Sundays. So Friday to the following Monday is 1 business day, and any full week contains exactly 5.
Use the Add Business Days card: it starts from your date and steps forward one weekday at a time, jumping over weekends, until it has counted the number you asked for. 10 business days from a Wednesday lands on the Wednesday two weeks later.
The count is the number of days you'd move forward from the first date to reach the second — Monday to Friday is 4 days, not 5. If your use case counts both endpoints (common for rentals or event durations), add 1 to the result.
Optionally, yes. Tick "Also exclude US federal holidays" and both business-day cards skip the 11 US federal holidays — New Year's Day, MLK Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas — using the standard weekend-observance rule (a holiday on Saturday is observed Friday, on Sunday the following Monday). It doesn't cover state or other countries' holidays, so subtract those yourself.
The age calculator expresses gaps in calendar units — years, months, days — which is right for ages and anniversaries. This page counts flat days and business days, which is right for deadlines, shipping windows, and notice periods.
