About us

Time Card Calculator is a small, independent collection of free tools for one job: adding up work hours quickly and correctly. It exists because the calculators most people land on for this task are slow, cluttered with ads, and painful to use on a phone — for a chore that millions of hourly workers, small business owners and payroll admins repeat every single week.

What we believe a calculator should be

Instant. Totals update as you type — no Calculate button, no page reloads. The whole site is plain, lightweight HTML that loads in a fraction of a second on any connection.

Flexible. Type times the way you actually write them — 9, 855, 9:30pm or military 1730 — and the tools understand. Overnight shifts, breaks, weekly and daily overtime are all handled.

Private. Nothing you enter is sent to any server. Auto-save uses only your own browser's storage, and there are no accounts and no sign-ups. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

Complete. Every tool comes with the reference material people actually need next to it — the minutes-to-decimal chart, the quarter-hour rounding table, the military time chart, worked overtime examples — so the answer and the explanation live on the same page.

The tools

The weekly time card calculator is the core of the site, with a biweekly version for two-week pay periods. Around it sit the supporting tools payroll work keeps calling for: an overtime pay calculator, an hours-between-times calculator, a decimal hours converter, a military time converter, a salary to hourly converter, a time clock rounding calculator and a work-hours-in-a-year calculator.

Corrections and suggestions

Payroll rules have edge cases, and we'd rather fix an error than defend one. If a calculation looks wrong, a chart value is off, or there's a tool you wish existed, tell us — real messages from real users shape what gets built next.
